PXW-Z280 4K Camcorder

The Sony PXW-Z280 is a professional 4K camcorder featuring a 1/2"-type 3CMOS sensor capable of capturing up to 4K60 video with excellent low-light performance and dynamic range. The camera includes an integrated 17x optical zoom lens with a 30.3 to 515mm (35mm equivalent) focal range, independent focus, iris, and zoom rings, along with an electronically variable ND filter for precise exposure control. This camcorder supports multiple codecs including XAVC Intra, XAVC Long, MPEG HD, and DVCAM, allowing flexible workflows for 4K, HD, and SD production.

The PXW-Z280 offers dual production capabilities through S-Log 3 and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) support, enabling shooters to work in both HDR and SDR without extensive post-production conversion. The camera features simultaneous 4K and HD recording options, a 12G-SDI output for 4K60p transmission, dual SxS memory card slots, and built-in dual-band Wi-Fi with RTMP/RTMPS streaming compatibility. Additional professional features include Face Detection autofocus with priority modes, two MI shoes for wireless accessories, dual XLR microphone inputs with independent volume controls, and comprehensive connectivity options for broadcast and event applications.
