MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone

The Sennheiser MKE 600 is a 10-inch shotgun microphone designed for professional video production, indie films, documentaries, and web series. Its supercardioid polar pattern and interference tube design provide pronounced directivity that effectively captures distant sound sources while rejecting off-axis noise from the sides and rear. The microphone features a natural 40 Hz roll-off and selectable 100 Hz low-cut filter to reduce low-frequency rumble and environmental noise such as air conditioning and traffic.

The MKE 600 operates via either 48V phantom power or a single AA battery for up to 150 hours of operation, making it compatible with professional audio recorders, field mixers, and camera preamps. It includes a shoe shockmount for camera or tripod mounting and an XLR-to-3.5mm TRS adapter cable for direct connection to camera inputs. The lightweight metal housing with foam windscreen resists structure-borne vibration and reduces wind noise by up to 25 dB.
