About the Smallhd 502 HDMI & SDI On-Camera Monitor with 3D LUT Support
The SmallHD 502 is a 5-inch on-camera monitor with a Full HD 1920x1080 display offering 441 pixels per inch and 85% NTSC color gamut reproduction. The monitor features both HDMI and SDI inputs and outputs with cross-conversion capability, along with a 3D LUT support system that allows you to apply and store color grades while monitoring in real time. Its durable aluminum construction weighs only 9 ounces and measures 3/4 inches thick, making it lightweight enough for handheld camera mounting without adding significant weight.
The device includes a Pages preset system that allows you to create and store up to eight customizable configurations, which you can navigate using the built-in joystick to quickly switch between different monitoring setups. Professional monitoring tools are built in, including HD waveform, vectorscope, histogram, focus peaking, anamorphic de-squeeze, and pixel zoom functions. The 502 can also be used as an electronic viewfinder when paired with the optional SmallHD Sidefinder accessory.
